An Edwardian herringbone floor from 1902 consisting of hard fired quarries. Even though the floor had seen a little movement during its life the floor was still solid as a rock and without still full of character. At some stage a bright spark thought it the done thing to hammer masonry nails through the border tiles; what possessed them I'll never no. But you can imagine the damage. After a few necessary repairs to the floor, we set about stripping the Golvpolish and began applying our own higher quality seal and polish, which would last far longer and reduce maintenance. The photo show before / during / after - the last shots show the polish newly applied, it would dull down a little within the hour.
