This quarry tile floor was found under carpet in a lovely Victorian house in one of the suburbs of Leicester. As you can see the floor was splattered with paint, old varnish, oxidised oil and wallpaper, plus carpet grippers where still attached to the tiles. Restoration details here

This little red quarry hallway had been hidden under carpet for many years and really needed a little TLC. After dealing with a few minor repairs, the quarries were treated to a deep cleaning and a colour enhancing sealer. The final finish is a hard wearing high gloss finish. Restoration details here

A nice little Victorian quarry tile floor in Leeds which had been covered over with carpet for many years before the new owners revealed this gem. From the initial enquiry photos we could tell there was a build up of moisture below the tile surface and had a sneaking feeling that this floor had already been sealed in some fashion. A Victorian quarry chequer board in The Park Estate Nottingham. Initially ingrained with gypsum dust, efflorescence and surface dirt, all of which was removed to add a colour enhancing penetrating sealer. Restoration details here

A fine example of a quarry tile chequer board in Long Eaton which is the result of years of hard work by the owner, who has removed lino, cork tiles and plenty of paint from the floor in this time. All that was needed was a further deep clean and a seal. Restoration details here

This original floor has seen a lot of efflorescence activity over the years since it was first laid. Much of the efflorescence had been left untreated and as a result had become calcified into the tile body, pretty much rendering it part of the tile. Restoration details here

This floor was always going to be a real challenge and unfortunately it would never be perfect once the contaminants where removed. Being a floor of soft clay tiles which are naturally porous they stain easily and are able absorb large quantities of pretty much anything left on them. Restoration details here

This job had a few problems and limitations that we needed to overcome from the start. Firstly the hallway was initially over-tiled with ceramic tiles and as a result the old cement adhesive needed to be removed from the original tiles. Restoration details here
