The moment I saw this floor I knew it held bags of potential to be a truly stunning piece and possibly a couple of surprises. The floor has pretty much all you could want a restorer; beautifully rich colours, encaustic borders, a gorgeous feature panel and intricate patterns to tie it all together. Set inside a beautifully designed Victorian property by T C Hine, in the Park Estate Nottingham.

This floor really was a catalogue of errors. Even though this floor had been previously restored we found that their attempts had been nothing more than poor bodges. With everything from the wrong type sealers applied onto top of old sealers and lots of dirt, to failing to completely neutralise their cleaning agents Restoration details here

What an amazing floor this is. Located in one of the more salubrious areas of the park in Nottingham; it really is a gem. How often do you find a floor with as many encaustic tiles as this? Very few to be honest and considering the floors excellent condition, it is all the more rare.
The finish is a subtle sheen that gently enhances the overall colour and reduces cleaning time by providing a hard wearing coating on top of the tiles. Restoration details here
