Minton Tile Cleaning Walsall

This Victorian geometric tiled hallway in Walsall had seen some movement over the years with patches of the floor having sunk, others had previously been repaired. We found the floor to have remnants of an old polish, which we needed to remove before any serious cleaning could take place.

Beneath the old varnish in this Walsall hallway lies a fantastic Victorian tiled floor with tiles by Craven Dunnill. Overall the floor was in really nice condition with a few smatterings of character in the form of the odd small oil stain and a couple of small cracks. Our first task was to remove the varnish and get to the dirt below. Restoration details here

Here we have Edwardian Art Deco unglazed tiles that have been covered with bitumen backed vinyl tiles. After a thorough cleaning and replacement of missing grout, we then set about enhancing the colours and leaving a subtle shine. Restoration details here

Here is another example of a fine bit of Edwardian geometric tiling Sutton Coldfield, still lovely and flat and straight as a die. We had to tackle quite a few different layers of polish on this floor; you can see flakes and loose sheets if you look carefully. Restoration details here

Initially this beautiful Minton floor in Sutton Coldfield had been restored by another company. Unfortunately the results where not acceptable due to the fact that the polish turned opaque in large areas within a few days of being applied. There were also numerous points of damage to the property during the cleaning process. Restoration details here
