This wonderful original floor had been kept in fantastic condition over its lifetime. Unfortunately there was layer upon layer of old sealers and polishes on the floor which had dirt trapped both between the layers and beneath them. This in turn made the floor look more dirty than it really was, plus the polished surface had become badly scratched with wear over the years.
