This original Victorian quarry tile hallway in Rugby has seen plenty traffic over the years and was once the floor of a doctors surgery. Some of the tiles where very deeply ingrained with aged on cement; some worn through to the clay body, but this is what gives these original floors so much character. The kind of character new tiles try in vain to replicate.

Our first task was to remove the old polish coating and then tackle as much of the cement residue as possible, before applying our deep cleaning chemicals. The finish chosen was a hard wearing satin gloss polish, which will make cleaning far easier in the future.
