Victorian Tile Clean The Park Nottingham

This Victorian tiled floor within The Park area of Nottingham was superbly laid out and boasts some beautiful purple triangles in the doorways. This floor really is a credit to the owners who painstakingly restored the floor themselves a while back and have since kept the floor immaculately clean. This unfortunately makes our photos a little less impressive, how do you improve on a spotless floor?

Now if you look carefully you will notice the floor has a few blotches and patches, almost salmon pink in colour. These marks are caused bleaching of the tile clay with high alkaline cleaning products and we have come across restorers who aim to do this, thinking that this is cleaning; it is NOT. This is damage and it is permanent. Now through no fault of their own this damage would have done during the owners restoration process using DIY cleaning products, in this case a HG product by simply following the instructions to dwell the cleaning product on the tiles for x amount of minutes. This should not be done, unless you want to run the risk of damage. Our aim is to clean without causing any damage.
